Casa per Ferie ISTITUTO ORSOLINE DI MARIA IMMACOLATA in Rome
The Ursuline Institute of Mary Immaculate was founded by the Blessed Mother Brigida Morello, originally from Rapallo (Ge) in 1649, in Piacenza. In the year 1930 the Ursuline Sisters opened a House in Rome, in the Trastevere area with a nursery and primary school, where they studied many Trasteverini until 1999. In 2000 due to lack of Sisters, the School was closed and transformed into a Casa per Ferie with 20 rooms and 32 beds.
The Trastevere area is located in the historic center of Rome not far from the Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia, Colosseum and Fori Imperiali; with many typical restaurants and with the freshness of the Tiber River, and the Gianicolo (behind).
