ABOUT US
The portal is managed by the non-profit Italian Religious Hospitality Association (Associazione Ospitalità Religiosa Italiana, O.R.I.). Primary goal of the portal is to allow connections between demands for accommodations and availability of those by Religious Institutes in Italy.
We are convinced that our portal, managed by both religious and non- religious people, will allow over-all interaction between the guest and the "host".
For this reason, we rely on comprehensive information that allows precise identification of the structure that you are preferring.
Our portal function without automatic bookings, but only by connecting people. The consultation and contact service for users and facilities is free of charge.
The president of the Association is Fabio Rocchi, who is a member of the National Pastoral Council of CEI Tourism (Consiglio Pastorale Nazionale della CEI Turismo), chaired by Don Gionatan De Marco, director of the CEI National Office for the Pastoral Care of Leisure, Tourism and Sport (Ufficio Nazionale CEI per la Pastorale del tempo libero, Turismo e Sport).

OUR STATISTICAL DATA
The portal was born in June 2015. As of November 2019, offers 4008 structures, of which 1728 registered with all the complete data, photos and features.
In October 2019, 94% of the visits came from Italy. The rest was divided between 124 different countries such as United States, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, Switzerland, Spain, Poland. Holland.
58% of users used a smartphone, 37% a computer, 5% a tablet.
From the beginning in June 2015 until 31 October 2019, the portal has received 3.039.044 visits from 2.119.298 users, who have opened 10.662007 pages (Google Analytics data) and generated 127.785 written requests for information for accommodation.
PARTNERS
The portal actively collaborates with the CEI National Office for the Pastoral Care of Leisure Time, Tourism and Sport (Ufficio nazionale CEI per la Pastorale del tempo libero, Turismo e Sport).
We were present with our stand at the International Tourism Exchange (Borsa Internazionale del Turismo, BIT) in Milan in 2017, 2018 and 2019, the TTG of Rimini in 2018 and 2019, and the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition in Lugano 2017 and 2018.
We collaborate with various associations and companies in order to ensure that participating structures have various sorts of services designed to improve your stay and at the same time to offer them the best visibility of their proposal.

OUR HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS
- On the occasion of the Jubilee of Mercy in 2016, our initiative "Ospitalità Misericordiosa" (Merciful Hospitality), has collected among the structures adhering to the portal over 27.000 free nights of stay for less affluent people and families who otherwise could not live in full the Holy Year.
- After the tragic earthquake in Central Italy on 24 August 2016, in collaboration with the CEI we have retrieved about 600 beds in various religious structures neighbouring the epicentre of earthquake, in order to meet the needs of displaced families. All work was done in collaboration with the Civil Protection.
- For the Jubilee Day of Prisoners with Pope Francis (Giubileo dei Detenuti con Papa Francesco) (November 6, 2016), in collaboration with the Inspectorate General of Prison Chaplains (l'Ispettorato Generale dei Cappellani delle Carceri), we have provided over 100 free beds for former prisoners arriving in Rome.
- In 2017 we have organised the project "Weeks of Mercy" which allowed people and families in need a whole week of accommodation free of charge. Because of this initiative, on March 9, 2017, Pope Francis officially expressed "cordial gratitude for the caring gesture", hoping for "an ever more generous commitment in favour of those in need and indigent". The Holy Father also sent his personal Blessing to the participants.
- In 2018 and 2019, the project "Merciful Hospitality" was activated, following in the footsteps of previous editions.
