The Antico Episcopio is located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in the heart of the ancient medieval village of Pontone, a small hamlet in the municipality of Scala, the first Roman settlement on the coast, a few kilometers from Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano.
Our property is located amidst hiking and nature trails, a hub for various "CAI Monti Lattari" trails. The Valle delle Ferriere nature reserve is also very close.

The Antico Episcopio was the first and only residence of the bishops of the diocese of Scala, captivated by the breathtaking views and timeless atmosphere that still attract visitors from around the world. Our building, dating back to the 11th century, was completely renovated in 2010.
Our B&B, L'antico Episcopio, stands out for its unique rooms, each unique, with chestnut-wood mezzanines. Each room is named after a wind, drawing inspiration from the names of the Wind Rose and the compass invented by Amalfi native Flavio Gioia in 1300.
We have three room types that vary in size, number of beds, and view: double, family suite, and single. Each room has a digital TV, safe, and hairdryer. All rooms are NON-SMOKING.
In our welcoming breakfast room we will serve you a rich and abundant Mediterranean breakfast.
From our panoramic solarium, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the small town of Atrani and the sea. In the summer, you can sunbathe in complete relaxation.
