BARBARA MICARELLI Hospitality House in L'Aquila
25 posti letto

Description
We are the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Child Jesus. In L'Aquila, we are called "the Micarellis," after our founder (Barbara Micarelli), and we have been present in the city since 1870. Our home is located at Via Fortebraccio 56, and for more than 150 years, welcoming and educating people has been our heartfelt concern.
The structure is part of an ancient complex dating back to the 16th century and is on the list of Italian national monuments.
We have two spaces available for accommodation: the 1950s building (renovated after the 2009 earthquake) for university students living away from home, and the historic rooms of Palazzo Alfieri, dedicated to shorter stays for a wide variety of needs. A refreshment area and kitchen are also available.
The entire structure was rebuilt according to anti-seismic regulations.
Within 200 meters: church, bar/restaurant, residential area. Within 1 km: bus stop, ATM, supermarket, pharmacy. Between 1 and 5 km: train station, hospital.
Smoking is prohibited throughout the property. Pets are not allowed. Reception is open during limited hours.
