The House is dedicated to male students and workers.

The facility, designated as a religious shelter, is more like a retirement home than a vacation home. The facility is designed for workers and students with the goal of "giving a home" to work: the service seeks to foster a relationship and dialogue, which is only possible if the relationship lasts over time.
The CDGL is a "base camp" where users can rest and prepare to face their future housing choices. In this respect, it differs profoundly from a retirement home, as the service is not intended to "retain" users, but rather to help them evolve into something greater. While housing was originally designed for workers, today it seeks to cater to all those for whom housing is a primary need, and hotel facilities are unsustainable for those in precarious circumstances.

The facility remains closed during the month of August.
