The Casa del Pellegrino in Valpromaro is one of the first parishes to welcome pilgrims and wayfarers on the Via Francigena, opening its doors in the years leading up to the Great Jubilee of 2000. Located in the center of town within the parish house, it stands out for its particularly warm and family-like hospitality. It was the first hospital on the Italian Via Francigena to introduce the Spanish hospitality model of the Camino de Santiago. Parish volunteers and the Hospitallers of Accoglienza Pellegrina, an international organization that brings together volunteers dedicated to providing assistance on pilgrimage routes around the world, work permanently at the facility.
Pilgrims have access to large outdoor and indoor spaces, maintained and cared for by the inhabitants of Valpromaro, who are very fond of welcoming pilgrims.

One-night stay only. Disposable linens are provided.

By provisions of the Ministry of Tourism, the facility is exempt from the National Identification Code as it does not charge fees but accepts donations to the management body.
