SAN MICHELE Group Home in Borgo Maggiore (Republic of San Marino)
Description
The "San Michele" group home is located within a structure built in 2002, which today houses, in addition to the group home, a first reception center and the headquarters of the Vicarial Caritas of San Marino.
The house, owned by the Parish of Borgo Maggiore, has 50 beds divided into several rooms, a large living room, a small chapel, a kitchen, a large park and outdoor space (2 concrete play areas, a soccer field, large fields among the olive trees, and pitches for tents).
The house is used primarily by Scout groups, Catholic Action groups, parish groups, and youth groups for retreats, school camps, spiritual exercises, and community weeks.
The house is located in a residential area and it is necessary to respect the neighbors at the front, especially during quiet hours.
It is possible to: - go on walking excursions - visit the Basilica and the historic center of San Marino - go to San Leo (about 30 minutes by car), an important Franciscan site, and visit the 13th-century convent of Sant'Igne.
The San Marino Adventure park is a 10-minute drive away. Acquafan in Riccione is a half-hour drive away. Rimini's beach is a half-hour drive away.
Residential area within 200 meters. Bus stop within 1 km. Church, ATM, bar/restaurant, supermarket, pharmacy, and hospital within 1 to 5 km. Train station over 10 km.
The facility is exempt from the National Identification Code as it is not located in Italian territory, and therefore in extraterritorial status.
