In continuity with the experience of meeting the Lord lived by Francis, the "Barbara Micarelli" Spirituality Center, a few steps from the Porziuncola sanctuary, is an oasis of silence and retreat, where, drawing from the sources of Franciscan spirituality, it is possible to experience times of prayer and rediscover oneself in the gaze of God.

Our Center began to welcome the Sisters of the Institute for Spiritual Exercises: "The Sisters should be animated by prayer and silence ..." (Mother Foundress). In 1988 the entire school complex was renovated and subsequently opened to welcoming religious men and women, consecrated persons both for Exercise Courses, Chapters and Assemblies or for days of study and prayer.

In the shadow of the Porziuncola, at the foot of mystical Assisi, the Center is suitable to welcome all those who seek God and wish to experience a deeper encounter with Him. The spacious, functional, welcoming, hospitable environment offers the best conditions that guarantee the climate of silence and recollection indispensable for listening to the Word of God and for personal reflection.
Together with the lay staff, the fraternity tries to create a serene and welcoming family atmosphere, available to respond to every need of the guests so that "the spirit, after the effort, can concentrate at the feet of Jesus ..." (Mother Maria Giuseppa Micarelli).
