Located at the entrance to the medieval village of Policastrello, the structure once housed a convent and later converted into a nursery school. Today, given the global changes we are experiencing, it has been converted into a multipurpose center to provide assistance to all pilgrims passing through this place rich in history and faith. The fully fenced structure, reminiscent of a fortress, also offers tents in the atrium. Inside, there is a thirty-seat conference room, a common room for recreation and meditation, a library/heraldic archive, and a bicycle storage room. It offers bed and breakfast accommodations in one single room, two double rooms, a triple room, and a quadruple room, all with en-suite bathrooms.

Very nearby is the Marian Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pettoruto, a destination for pilgrims from around the world. The village of Policastrello preserves an abbey church once run by the Cistercians, a Roman-built baptistery, and a surviving bridge and section of Roman-era road. A chapel dedicated to Saint Domenica with five well-preserved frescoes from 1565, the remains of an ancient Bourbon fort adjacent to the Esaro River, where a picnic area delights visitors, and for the more adventurous, there are the Grisia caves with spring water, the Pozzo Turchino well, and the Grotto of Saint Michael, offering a fascinating mystical discovery of faith. And so much more, as the land here is never harsh or barren.
