In the Florentine hills, just 15 minutes from Florence, immersed in woods and the spontaneous, varied, and lush beauty of nature, stands the Convent of Incontro, harmoniously blending with its Franciscan simplicity into the surrounding environment.

Founded in 1716 by order of Saint Leonard of Porto Maurizio on an ancient hermitage that still retains traces dating back to the Lombard period, the convent houses interesting testimonies to its rich historical and religious past, making it a unique place ideal for spiritual and cultural experiences in an atmosphere enhanced by natural beauty. In front of the church, a natural terrace overlooks the city and the surrounding hills, reaching as far as the peaks of the Apennines and the crests of the Apuan Alps.

In 2000, the Obiettivo Francesco Association, which since its inception has promoted many missionary events, decided to revitalize the Convento dell'Incontro, in collaboration with the OFM Province of Tuscany, in accordance with its ancient origins.

The site has been made available for both hospitality and religious activities, as well as for socio-cultural events and ceremonies, respecting the original spirit of simplicity and spirituality. It features spacious interior rooms, a furnished outdoor area, and a large garden with a covered marquee. There are also two soccer fields with goals and a volleyball court.

The convent also has a private six-hectare forest completely closed to outsiders, surrounded by stone walls.

Within 200 meters, there's a church. Between 1 and 5 km, there's a bus stop, ATM, bar/restaurant, and a residential area. Between 5 and 10 km, there's a supermarket, pharmacy, and hospital.

By provisions of the Ministry of Tourism, the facility is exempt from the National Identification Code as it does not charge fees but accepts donations to the management body.
