CRISTO RE Holiday House in Rome
The House is located in a central and quiet area, far from the chaotic traffic of Rome, ideal for a period of tranquility and rest. Located in Rome in Piazza Caprera, it is close to Termini Station. In short you reach the St. Peter's Basilica and all the central places of the city. The house is open all year round with winter return time at 22.00, summer at 11.00 pm.
The rooms are cozy and simply furnished. All architectural barriers have been demolished to facilitate access for disabled people. It has 12 rooms with 21 beds (single - double - triple) all equipped with bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer, TV and fast Internet access.
The house has an internal chapel for recollection and reflection. Families or individual guests, if they wish, can participate in daily religious services.
The Congregation of the Franciscan School Sisters of Christ the King was born in Maribor in Slovenia on September 13, 1869, thanks to the commitment and the will of Sr. Margarita Pucher who was the first general superior in the Congregation. During the twentieth century, the Institute, dedicated to education and youth education, crossed the borders of Slovenia and Europe, reaching the United States of America and Egypt as well as Latin America. Currently the Congregation is present in Africa, Europe, North America and South America.
At the beginning of the Second World War, due to occupation, the General Curia of the Congregation was transferred from Maribor to Rome, where it still is.
