Description

In Cogoleto, between Arenzano and Varazze, stands Villa Divin Redentore. Nestled on the side of a gentle hill in the Beigua Park, very close to the sea and its unique position guarantees a dream panorama and a relaxing atmosphere. Immersed in a large park of olive trees, palm trees and roses, our holiday home is the ideal place for the family: here children can play safely from dangers, while parents can relax in the shade of our trees.

Cogoleto is a typical Ligurian seaside village, rich in history and tradition. The beaches, both free and equipped, are very close and easily reachable on foot from the house.

The villa dates back to the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century. It belonged to the Bianchi counts of Cogoleto and its name was Villa delle Rose, because it was surrounded by many rose gardens. During the Second World War it was an outpost for the Germans, having a turret that allowed them to dominate the sea and the surrounding area. The villa is in Art Nouveau style and some rooms of the villa have remained in their original state and it is possible to visit the wonderful mosaics and twentieth-century frescoes.

The ballroom has now become a beautiful church that is brought to life on Sundays by the liturgical celebration. The villa is surrounded by a large park that can be visited and that flows into the large regional natural park of Beigua. In the early 1930s, in the area below the villa, a colony was built by the Carmelite nuns of Turin, which gave children with lung diseases the opportunity to spend the summer months in the beautiful marine climate, cared for by the nuns.
Over time, the house has expanded and has become a holiday home and residence for families and people who wish to spend a period immersed in the beauty of nature and the healthy sea air.
