Home San Francesco, located on the 1st floor of the Franciscan Convent of S. Caterina a Chiaia, was born from the need to finance the various projects, in Italy and abroad, promoted by the Gioia e Speranza ETS Association as the managing body of the structure. Through this activity, the following are financed:

- The "Alegria y Esperanza" Hospital , already built in the city of Huamachuco (Peru) and which offers free assistance and care to those living in poverty and without the economic means to cover medical expenses.
- The “Donate a Future” project in favor of some of the poorest villages in Angola with the aim of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants through literacy, the provision of water wells, the supply of electricity, medical assistance, financing of studies for young people and the donation of medicines and clothing.
- The Mensa di San Francesco is active in Naples at the Convent of S. Caterina a Chiaia where every day, in collaboration with the Franciscan Friars of the Third Regular Order, people in need are welcomed and offered a complete lunch.
- Solidarity reception for disadvantaged families who need to reside in Naples to be close to and assist their hospitalized children.

The property is located in the characteristic Piazzetta S. Caterina a Chiaia, a few meters from Piazza dei Martiri, Piazza del Plebiscito, Piazza Vittoria and the Caracciolo seafront. Furthermore, in the immediate vicinity, it is very easy to reach other places of particular interest such as: Naples Underground, the Teatro San Carlo, the Galleria Umberto, Piazza Municipio, Castel dell'Ovo and the Maschio Angioino. In a few minutes on foot you can reach the Port of Naples with departures for Sicily, Ischia, Procida and Capri.

The familiar and welcoming atmosphere is combined with the charm and beauty of the well-off area of Naples, full of bars, restaurants, pizzerias and shops.
