L'Aquilone, in Umbria, is an agritourism facility and a welcoming educational farm, located in the municipality of Gubbio, not far from Assisi. It offers a variety of activities: hospitality for groups and families, a summer camp for children and teenagers from around the world, an educational farm for school trips, and agritourism. Valeria, Michele, and their children Maria and Gabriele have been running this place since 1976.

The property consists of a large, recently renovated three-story farmhouse, surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees, a small pine forest, a truffle ground, and woods, accessible for activities, games, and excursions. The 16 multi-bed rooms are spread over two floors, all with private bathrooms; two rooms are accessible to the disabled. Each floor has a lounge and group meeting room. On the ground floor, there is a dining room and activity room equipped with foosball, ping pong, and various games, a large sun porch, and a covered, heated pool. An adjacent cottage has two bright, independent bedrooms and a small kitchen.
During the recent renovation, we proceeded with great respect, preserving the typical Umbrian homes with their traditional stonework.

The entire agriturismo uses energy from renewable sources: solar panels, photovoltaic panels, biomass boilers, and fireplaces. There is a large terrace with a wood-fired oven and a barbecue area for pizza and grilled meats to enjoy on cheerful outdoor evenings. Our cuisine is simple, refined, and renowned, featuring numerous traditional dishes using our own or local produce wherever possible. Guests have access to spacious lounges with table football and ping-pong, a covered and heated indoor pool, and a large outdoor park with sports fields. A large adjacent multipurpose facility is available for product tastings, a gym, a meeting room, a prayer and mass room, workshops, and a screening room. Dedicated spaces and trails allow us to offer a wide variety of games, workshops, and crafts, recreational, and educational activities. Our guests can help care for the vegetable garden and animals, care for the eggs and chicks, or help with the farm chores. In the woods, we gather around the campfire to sing along with the guitar under the starry sky. Nearby are the splendid cities of Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Todi, the magical Frasassi Caves, and Lake Trasimeno. We are close to the "Via di Francesco" (St. Francis' Way), the Sentiero Italia (Italian Trail), and the Monte Cucco National Park. We offer suggestions for organizing trips, visits, and enjoyable excursions, and we organize tours and activities dedicated to St. Francis and St. Clare.
