L'Aquilone, in Umbria, is an agritourism facility and a welcoming educational farm, in the municipality of Gubbio, not far from Assisi, home to various activities: hospitality for groups and families, summer camp for children and teenagers from all over the world, educational farm for school trips, agritourism. Valeria, Michele with their children Maria and Gabriele have been organizing this place since 1976.

The structure consists of a large farmhouse on three floors recently renovated and is surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees, a small pine forest, truffle ground, woods, accessible for activities, games and excursions. The rooms, with multiple beds, are 16 on two floors, all with private bathroom, 2 rooms are accessible to the disabled. Each floor has a room for the living room and group meetings. On the ground floor we find a dining room and activity room equipped with table football, ping pong and various games, a large solar veranda and the covered and heated swimming pool. An adjacent house has 2 bright, independent rooms and a small kitchen.
In the recent renovation we proceeded with great respect in preserving the typical Umbrian houses with traditional stone walls.

The entire farm uses energy from renewable sources: solar panels, photovoltaic panels, biomass boilers and thermo fireplaces. There is a large terrace, with a wood oven and a barbecue area for pizza and sbraciolate to be enjoyed on cheerful outdoor evenings. Our cuisine is simple, refined and renowned and includes numerous typical dishes where we use our own products or local products as much as possible. Guests have access to large rooms with table football and ping-pong, a covered and heated indoor swimming pool, a large outdoor park with fields for sports activities. A large adjacent multipurpose structure for product tasting, gym, meeting room, prayer and mass room, laboratory activities, projection room. Dedicated spaces and paths allow us a great variety of games, laboratories, manual, recreational and educational activities. Our guests can take part in the care of the vegetable garden and the animals, look after the eggs and the little chicks or help us with the farm work. In the woods we meet around the "campfire" to sing together with the guitar under the starry sky. Nearby are the splendid cities of Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Todi, the magical Frasassi Caves, Lake Trasimeno. We are close to “La via di Francesco”, the Sentiero Italia and the Monte Cucco park. We provide suggestions for organizing trips, visits, pleasant excursions, we organize visits and activities on the figure of St. Francis and St. Clare.
