The building, originally a rice-polishing factory, is the gateway and visitor center of the Migliarino San Rossore and Massaciuccoli Park, which oversaw its restoration. In addition to a guesthouse with 25 beds in double, triple, and quadruple rooms, and a shared dormitory, with dedicated internal or external bathrooms, it offers large multipurpose spaces (over 500 square meters) for exhibitions, conferences, and educational activities, and a dining area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The building is barrier-free, with an elevator serving all four floors.

A large green area equipped with chairs, tables and umbrellas is available to guests.
