The Alpine House “La Montanina” is nestled at the foot of the stunning Grigne mountain range, immersed in a vast expanse of meadows and woods at an altitude of 1200 metres in the Piani Resinelli area in the municipality of Abbadia Lariana (LC).
In the pre-Covid-19 period, the house was renovated and refurbished to be made available to parishes, groups, sports clubs, associations, families, seniors, and individuals who wish to spend time in peace and quiet.
Today, the Casa Alpina has around one hundred beds, mostly divided into multiple rooms with their own bathrooms.
It features: three dining rooms, a large hall (with sound system and video projector) also used for meetings, conferences and parties, a library, games room, bar, kitchen (large and family-friendly, it is equipped to seat two hundred), seven-a-side football pitch, synthetic grass basketball and volleyball court, three large private parking lots.
Detached from the building, in a secluded and quiet location, a charming little church invites prayer and reflection.
The lack of architectural barriers makes “La Montanina” easily accessible to people with disabilities, with two rooms equipped for any need.
Less than an hour's walk from the property, you can easily reach the "panoramic walkway" in Valentino Park, a scenic overlook overlooking Lake Como. It's a very peaceful hike, suitable for families and even those less accustomed to walking. The summit of Grigna is a two-hour walk away.

The property is NOT self-managed. Staff is always available to welcome guests and make them feel at home.
