Description

The Mater Divinae Sapientiae Spirituality House takes its name from a natural spring located at the foot of a hill near the house where, since ancient times, the inhabitants of the surrounding districts used to use it. The community of the nuns of Don Nicola Mazza, arriving in this place in 1966, also found the image of the Madonna that in the centenary of the apparitions in Lourdes (1858-1958), the families of the parish of Santa Lucia ai Monti di Valeggio sul Mincio (VR) had prayed during the peregrinatio and to which they wanted to dedicate a shrine. The nuns thought the Fontanafredda spring was the most suitable place to build it, entrusting the house of spirituality to the Virgin Mary.
