Description

The Ostello del Parco is located in Umbria in the medieval village of Costacciaro, in the heart of the Monte Cucco Park, in a recently restored historic building.
An ideal place for those who want to explore the green heart of Italy, it is a twenty-minute drive from Gubbio, Fabriano, Gualdo Tadino, and in just over half an hour you can reach Perugia, Assisi, Spello and Urbino.

Each room has a private bathroom with an independent thermostat for the winter months. Bed linens and towels are included. Guests can prepare breakfast themselves or take advantage of the convenient discounts available at local cafés just a few meters from the hostel. The common room features a self-catering kitchen with induction hobs and fully equipped for self-catering for individuals and groups, catering for up to 24 people. The large common room also includes a living area with a large plasma TV and a well-stocked Umbrian nature library.

We are located in the Monte Cucco protected natural area, in the Umbria-Marche Apennines, with over 100 km of marked CAI trails and wonderful caves that can be visited by tourists on a beautiful speleological trek. Starting on foot from the village, a 3 km trail leads to the tall beech forests of Pian delle Macinare, a place of considerable natural interest.

We also have a special agreement with the Costacciaro municipal swimming pool, located a 5-minute walk from the hostel, nestled in a natural park at the foot of the mountain. Daily admission is €4 per person for our guests only. The grass soccer field, five-a-side soccer field, and volleyball court are free. Finally, we offer discounts on guided tours of the Monte Cucco Cave and our many events.
