Casa per Ferie ISTITUTO ORSOLINE DI MARIA IMMACOLATA in Rome
32 posti letto

Description
The Ursuline Institute of Mary Immaculate was founded in Piacenza in 1649 by Blessed Mother Brigida Morello, originally from Rapallo (Genoa). In 1930, the Ursuline Sisters opened a house in Rome's Trastevere neighborhood, with a nursery and elementary school, where many Trastevere residents studied until 1999. In 2000, due to a shortage of Sisters, the school was closed and converted into a vacation home with 20 rooms and 32 beds.
The Trastevere area is located in Rome's historic center, not far from the Capitoline Hill, Piazza Venezia, the Colosseum, and the Imperial Forums. It boasts many traditional restaurants and the cool breeze of the Tiber River, with the Janiculum Hill (behind) just beyond.
The Vatican can be reached on foot in 30 minutes, via Lungotevere. Two buses, with termini at Termini Station and Piazza Venezia (in central Rome), stop in front of our gate, Via Dandolo, 46. Piazza Venezia can be reached on foot in 15 minutes.
