At the Convitto Lateranense Beato Pio IX, lay students of various nationalities live together. Its establishment responds to a specific need of students at the Pontifical Lateran University: the creation of a space reserved for lay people, which allows for the integration of shared living spaces and, therefore, opportunities for authentic friendship and growth in faith, while meeting individual needs.

The boarding school offers full board and common areas where students can meet and socialise: a reading room, a TV and computer room, a cafeteria, lounges, and a furnished terrace. Each student has their own room equipped with all the comforts: en suite bathroom, TV and stereo system, telephone, and internet (LAN and Wi-Fi). In an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual respect, students participate in communal activities, especially the weekly celebration of Holy Mass.

The educational program at Pio IX offers students the opportunity to enrich their university education with a full experience of community life that nourishes, day by day, their awareness of themselves and the world.
