The "RIFUGIO DEI NONNI" is located 13 km from Civita di Bagnoregio, in the village of San Michele in Teverina, an ancient medieval village in the municipality of Civitella d'Agliano. It overlooks the final part of the Calanchi Valley and the Tiber Valley, which faces Umbria.

The house is a portion of an old farmhouse, completely renovated in 2005. Like many farmhouses in this area, it extends over three levels, each consisting of a large room overlooking the stairs that start from the front door. These steep, traditional stairs have a high rise and narrow treads, so if you have small children or have mobility issues, this is a particular consideration.

On the ground floor there is the dining room with kitchenette, small refrigerator (with mini freezer) and a small washing machine.

The bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor. From the bedroom, a door opens onto the second flight of stairs leading to the second floor; here, there's an attic overlooking the Calanchi Valley! It's furnished so it can be used either as a living room/relaxation room (with a sofa bed) or as a second bedroom.

The farmhouse is externally surrounded by land, a typical… country meadow, with an olive grove and a fountain.

Smoking is prohibited throughout the property. A refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, books, and board games are available.
