A few kilometers from the refuge, we find Marradi, the birthplace of the poet Dino Campana, author of the "Canti Orfici." This town has a touch of the past and is a fascinating place to visit along the Lamone River.
The Marradese territory is rich in woods and clear waters, it has an irregular profile in the succession of reliefs on which firs, hornbeams, beeches, chestnut trees thrive, traversed by marked paths that can be traveled on foot, on horseback and by mountain bike - also with specialized guides -.
Marradi can be reached thanks to the “Dante's Train”, a small train that connects the city of Florence - City of Art - with the city of Ravenna - Capital of the Western Empire -, passing along the route Brisighella - Most Beautiful Villages in Italy - and Faenza - City of Ceramics -.
