Description

The Spanish Episcopal Conference and the Pontifical Spanish College of Saint Joseph in Rome have granted part of the College's premises to transform it into the Casa "San Juan de Ávila," as a pastoral service to dioceses, parishes, and pilgrims visiting Rome who desire a familiar and welcoming place to stay.

Nestled in a park of approximately one hectare and bordering the park of the same name of the historic Villa Carpegna, it enjoys a privileged location in an area well connected by public transport and taxis, close to St. Peter's and the center of Rome.

The structure and the services offered make the house a welcoming and peaceful environment, ideal for groups and families who will find areas dedicated to them inside: nursery room and children's play area, football pitch, basketball court and volleyball court.

Special attention is paid to guests with disabilities: in addition to the complete absence of architectural barriers, allowing free access to common areas, there are six rooms equipped for guests with mobility impairments. The facility also features tactile pathways and color contrasts for blind and visually impaired guests.

In addition to the standard services of a hotel, the Casa offers orientation and assistance for pilgrims. A team of experts is at guests' complete disposal to organize their pilgrimage, both before arrival and during their stay in the Eternal City.

The 96 rooms available to guests are spread over four floors with a lift, some of which are accessible to disabled guests.
The property can accommodate a total of 218 guests in double rooms. Spacious and quiet, all rooms feature a private bathroom with hairdryer, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and telephone. Each room is fully furnished: bed, wardrobe, desk, luggage rack, and chairs.
