Monastery of SANTA COLETTE in Assisi (Perugia)
48 posti letto

Description
For more than 100 years, the French Poor Clares of the Monastery of Sainte Colette have lived, loved and prayed on the hill of Assisi.
From the very beginning, they welcomed and housed French seminarians in training in Rome for periods of rest and pilgrimage, and gradually a hospitality with a spirit of service to pilgrims and proximity to the beating heart of the world took shape in the monastery, just as Saint Clare had desired .
An ideal place to delve into the discovery of the various sanctuaries of the medieval city...and the surprise of discovering the vast intra-muros space. The magnificent panorama , the silence of the place, the prayer environment , everything contributes to imbue one with the peace bestowed by Francis and Clare .
The language of beauty, the invitation to wonder, open hearts that can then let themselves be touched by Francis' passionate love for Christ and for man.
Witnesses of this love story, the Poor Sisters of St. Clare, raise their praises to God who, gratuitously, “created them, looked upon them, loved them.” They implore God’s tenderness over everything, everyone and each one.
Present, but in seclusion, they invite tourists and pilgrims to quench their thirst at the sources of the liturgy: the Eucharist, the singing of psalms and prolonged adoration of God made man.
