Holiday House SALESIAN SISTERS OF SACRI HEARTS in Lecce
24 posti letto

Description
The property, purchased by the Founding Father, Father Filippo Smaldone, in 1902, served as a Motherhouse and Institute for the Deaf until the 1960s. Today, it remains the Motherhouse of the Congregation of the Salesian Sisters of the Sacred Hearts and has been renovated as a holiday and prayer house. It is an ideal setting, an oasis of peace in the heart of ancient Lecce, sought after by those seeking a moment of physical and spiritual relaxation, amidst the allure of architectural beauty laid bare by the restoration of the star-shaped vaults in Lecce stone and the installation of soft lighting. The place invites you to elevate your body and soul, not only through its architectural lines and the functionality of its spaces, but above all through the Sanctuary of San Filippo Smaldone, attached to the House, and through visits to the places of the Saint, where the Man of God lived from 1902 until 1923, the year of his death.
