Description

Villa Fatima is a convent of the Dorothean Sisters of Cemmo, located in the Borgo di Metaponto inside an orange grove, near the ancient castle of Torremare. A house that hosts, a community that welcomes and accompanies. A sister of the community can make herself available to animate moments of prayer, Lectio Divina and training if the guest requests it. The spaces are also suitable for daily experiences.

METAPONTO: culture and sea merge in this small town overlooking the Ionian Sea.
It has golden sandy beaches that were crossed by the ancient Greeks to found one of the most flourishing “polis” of Magna Graecia; over the centuries it has given hospitality to the Greek philosopher Pythagoras, who founded one of his schools; the Metaponto of today deserves its place in history. Of this rich past remain today the vestiges of the splendid Temple of Hera or “Tavole Palatine” the archaeological park with Greek theater, the interesting archaeological museum and the quiet of the Ionian sea.

Within 2 km Metaponto Lido beach and connection with the SS 106 Jonica state road. The Convent is 45 km from Matera and 55 km from Taranto.
