Villa Polara, a historic holiday residence with terraces and gardens, is immersed in the quiet of the Modica countryside, overlooking the Mediterranean, a sea of peace and a harbinger of the flourishing civilization that Benedictine monasticism fostered in Europe.

The Villa is a place of hospitality for those who want to open themselves to experiences of humanity embodied in local culture and traditions, staying in the south-east of Sicily and appreciating, in all its beauty, the art and breathtaking natural landscapes of the Val di Noto.

A place designed to offer tranquility and serenity to those who want to seize the opportunity to discover and rediscover precious and powerful values of humanity, spirituality, and culture.

The Villa Polara holiday home welcomes individuals, groups, families, conferences, pastoral activities, events, and training seminars.

Villa Polara is a commitment that this land of ours expresses to the new generations; a project called "Mediterranean Thoughts and Hospitality," aimed at offering the opportunity to enrich relationships in a region characterized by bonds of solidarity, spirituality, and culture. A place rich in history, donated in 1984 by Mrs. Amalia Polara to the Benedictine Nuns, it has been restored since 2018, thanks to the joint efforts of a network of charitable organizations, and returned to the community to organize solidarity holidays, retreats, training sessions, parties, and solidarity events for all those who wish to experience and learn about the Sicilian region and its people.

Villa Polara is managed by the Don Puglisi Onlus Cooperative on behalf of its valuable network of partners: in addition to Casa Don Puglisi, the Crisci Ranni Educational Center and the L'Arca cooperative.
