Holiday House VILLA POLARA Modica Hostel in Modica (Ragusa)
"All guests should be received like Christ, for one day he will say:" I have been a guest and you have welcomed me ", and to all pay due honor ."
Villa Polara Hostel is a commitment that this land of ours expresses for the new generations; a project called 'Mediterranean thoughts and hospitality', aimed at offering the opportunity to enrich relationships in a territory characterized by bonds of solidarity, spirituality and culture. A place rich in history, donated in 1984 by Mrs. Amalia Polara to the Benedictine Nuns and which, since 2018 thanks to the joint efforts of a network of solidarity bodies, has been refurbished and returned to the community to organize solidarity holidays, retreats, meetings of formation and solidarity parties for all those who want to live experience and knowledge of the Sicilian territory and people.
Villa Polara holiday home, immersed in the quiet of the Modica countryside, is a suitable place to host those who want to open themselves to experiences of humanity embodied in the local culture and traditions, staying in the south east of Sicily and appreciating, in all its beauty, the Hyblaean territory and the Val di Noto. A reality designed to offer tranquility and serenity to those who want to take the opportunity to discover and rediscover precious and strong values of humanity, spirituality and culture. A place managed by the San Corrado Foundation, an operational tool of the Diocesan Caritas of Noto and a precious network of partners: Casa don Puglisi with its production of typical Modica products, such as sweets, cakes and so on, the educational Crisci ranni yard and Ark House.
fedded on the Mediterranean, a sea of peace, a furrow of the flowering of civilization that benevolent monasticism has nurtured in Europe.
