Holiday home ALPE DI CUSNA in Villa Minozzo (Reggio Emilia)
Febbio is a small mountain village located at over 1000 meters above sea level in the upper Appennino Reggiano, on the slopes of Mount Cusna (2121 meters). For these reasons it has for years become a tourist destination for mountain lovers, horse riding, mountain biking, sport fishing, mushroom picking and undergrowth, preserving its characteristics of quiet location, where contact with the nature takes place in ideal conditions of tranquility.

The geographical position of the town offers wonderful views of the Apennine ridge, with a view of the top of Mount Cusna, which is the highest peak of the Reggio Apennines.
This peak is also called the Dead Man or the Giant, because its shape recalls that of a man lying. A popular legend speaks of a good Giant, who wanted to help the shepherds in repairing their flocks to the pastures from the strong wind, in a last gesture of generosity he would lie on the mountain, giving it the shape we see today.
On Monte Cusna, there are numerous ski and snowboard slopes suitable for beginners and experts, easily reached by chairlift up to a maximum altitude of 2,063 meters. At the start of the lifts (1,150 m.), An area is set up that acts as a ski school field and offers a free area for children with bobsleds and sleds.
Even cross-country skiers can find beaten paths that develop in a ring in the woods of Pian Vallese; the whole area lends itself well to hiking with skis or snowshoes.
For the more adventurous of this sport, this year new hiking itineraries will be opened to reach the famous Florentine meadows, near the Passo di S.Pellegrino in Alpe.
For those who practice ski-mountaineering, this ridge offers several itineraries with challenging climbs in natural environments of great beauty. For the last few days of January, a ski-mountaineering competition has been held at national level, which attracts more and more members.
In these valleys, in summer you can organize different excursions, following the numerous paths marked by the CAI, or on ancient paths crossed by shepherds.
