From Altavilla you can dominate all of Alba. The city extends in the limited flat space between the right bank of the Tanaro and the first slopes of the Langhe. In Altavilla the air is different from that of the city below, not by chance Cardinal Enrichetto Virginio Natta, bishop of Alba in 1750 had the bishop's summer house built there.
